DESCRIPTION FOR R.V. TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION COURSE (TC-1)

RV 1
   SCHOOL AND RV INDUSTRY ORIENTATION  (20 Hours)
Includes: Service Tech Liability - RV Nomenclature - Fasteners, Tools and Measuring Instruments - RV Repair Materials (Frozen Parts, Gaskets, Seals & Bearings) RV Industry Resources

RV 2   LP GAS (20 Hours)
Includes: History - Safety - Handling - Service

RV 3   BASIC ELECTRICITY (40 Hours)
Includes: Theory - Types of Current Flow (AC & DC) Methods of Producing Electricity, Storing D.C. Electricity (Batteries), Laws of Electricity - Electrical Math Problems,Using Electrical Test Instruments,Testing and Checking Components/Circuits. 

RV 4   RV PLUMBING SYSTEMS (32 Hours)
Includes: Supply and Drainage Systems - Water Supply Pumps - Accumulators - Toilets - Tanks and Valves - Macerator Pumps -Water Hoses and Pressure Regulators  - Tank Monitors - Plastic Welding - Sanitizing and Winterizing 

RV 5   RV ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS  (32 Hours)
Includes:DC Systems - Panels and Switches  -  AC Systems -Converter/Chargers - Solar Panel Systems - Alternator Charge Systems -Inverters and Systems

RV 6   TRAILER BRAKES, SUSPENSIONS, HITCHES & TOWING (32 Hours)
Hitches and Classifications. Types of Hitches -Trailer Brakes - Towed cars and Supplemental Brake Systems - Towing Accessories

RV 7   ACCESSORIES AND APPLIANCES  (24 Hours)
Includes: Awnings (Manual and Electric) TV Antennas - Electrical Steps - RV Leveling Systems - Cooking Appliances

RV 8   WATER HEATERS  (16 Hours) 
Includes: Brands (Suburban, Atwood, Precisionist) Types (Tank, Tankless) Ignition Types (Pilot, Direct Spark Ignition) Service and Troubleshooting

RV 9   HEATING SYSTEMS  (40 Hours)
Includes: Brands (Suburban, Atwood, Aqua-Hot) Types (Warm Air, Hydronic) Installations (Ducted, Piped) Service and Troubleshooting

RV 10 RV AIR CONDITIONING   (40 Hours)
Includes: Theory (Coolers and Heat Pumps Brands (Duotherm, RVP, Carrier) Types (Ducted, ADB, Basement)

RV 11 RV ABSORPTION TYPE REFRIGERATORS (40 Hours)
Includes: Theory (Physics) Brands (Dometic and Norcold) Service and Troubleshooting Cooling Units and Electric Systems

RV 12 RV GENERATORS (40 Hours)Includes: Brand Names - Gas, LPG, Diesel,  Air Cooler, Liquid Cooler Constant Speed. Inverter Types - Service -Tune-up and Adjustments -Troubleshooting

RV 13 BODY DAMAGE AND REPAIR (8 Hours)
Includes: Types of Construction - Floor Repair - Body Repair - Maintenance - Rubber Roofs Screen Repair


RV 14
PDI (PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION)  (8 Hours)
Includes:  Definitions and Purpose (New and Used) Procedures - Follow-up
